Leidos' Airborne Systems Business Area is currently seeking a cleared
Model-Based Systems Specialist
to join our dynamic team in Beavercreek, OH. This exciting role offers you the chance to leverage your expertise in support of the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and various DoD missions. You will play a pivotal role in a range of programs that blend software design and development with hardware integration, laboratory testing, and both ground and flight assessments, facilitating the deployment of next-generation solutions. Your Key Responsibilities As a Systems Engineer at Leidos, you will apply MBSE methodologies and tools within a stimulating environment to analyze the performance of future weapon systems as part of broader military operations. Your role will include: Utilizing existing tools and models, alongside creating new models for upcoming systems. Capturing, breaking down, and tracing system-level requirements. Analyzing, defining, and refining system architectures and interfaces. Developing system structures and behaviors. Collaborating across teams, including government stakeholders, software developers, and mechanical and electrical engineers. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 1 year of experience in systems, software, or test engineering. U.S. Citizenship required. Active DoD TS clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. Experience working in a Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) environment. Proficiency with SysML, with a preference for Cameo/MagicDraw. Strong enthusiasm for learning new technologies. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Active DoD TS/SCI clearance. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, especially SCRUM or Kanban. Experience using Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket. OCSMP certification (OMG Certification for Systems Modeling Professionals). Experience with executable SysML simulation functionalities and scripting languages. Knowledge of MBSE techniques such as Magicgrid. Understanding of military Concepts of Operations (CONOPS). Original Posting:
