Machine Technician ! We are looking for motivated individuals who excel in building machines based on detailed job specifications, schematics, and prints. You will place component parts and sub-assembly units onto machine frames to adhere to production schedules. Job Title: Machine Technician Location: Poughkeepsie, NY Pay Range: $26/hr. - $28/hr. What Will You Do? Drive lean culture initiatives by actively participating in daily lean meetings and contributing to continuous improvement efforts. Utilize schematics, drawings, and written procedures to assemble equipment to exact specifications, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical assemblies. Perform startup of newly constructed equipment, including high voltage connections, software installation, and component calibration. Adhere to quality control checklists to ensure optimal machine operation. Refer to shop interface manuals for detailed procedures. Collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot and resolve engineering or manufacturing issues. What Do You Need? A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of college/technical school coupled with 2 years of experience. Proficiency in welding and stick welding is essential. Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, and procedural manuals. Effective communication skills to engage with team members, engineers, and supervisors. Solid understanding of electrical fundamentals, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, with the capability to interpret schematics and circuits. Advanced troubleshooting skills for diagnosing electrical and mechanical components. Mechanical assembly or repair experience is required. Strong computer proficiency with up-to-date experience. Extensive troubleshooting capabilities in electrical, PLC, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Mathematical skills for basic operations using units of measure, fractions, and decimals.
