Job Description
Lunch Clerk/Secretary
Reports to:
Child nutrition program director and building principal
Supervises:
n/a
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Math skills
Basic computer skills
Working knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of
Office equipment
Highly organized
Job Objective:
To keep an accurate account of reimbursable meals, records, monies, and receipts. Maintain confidential records
Employment Terms:
185 days x 7.5 hours (1387.5 hours)
FLSA Classification:
Non-exempt
Evaluation:
Annually by child nutrition director or building principal
Physical Demands:

Regular Requirements: Stand for extended periods; twist at the neck and trunk; bend at the waist; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; lift/move up to 25 pounds; handle objects and tools with hands and operate equipment
Occasional Requirements: Reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; lift/move up to 40 pounds
Visual Requirements: Close, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate accounting system on computer which is programmed to keep track of each student's meal account.
2. Notify students and parents of account balance when it is delinquent.
3. Maintain accurate record of student's eligibility for reduced or free priced meals.
4. Distribute and collect meal applications to and from students.
5. Maintain daily records:
CNP rosters
Meals served summaries
Receipts, Barcode Roster
Payments, etc.
6. Attend all required meetings.
7. Assists in kitchen when needed.
8. Sign check out sheets for employees at end of year.
9. Performs such other tasks and jobs as administrator' may assign.
10. Utilize professional behavior in all school related interactions.
11. Comply with all federal, state and local laws and board policies and procedures.
12. Perform all other tasks as supervisor may assign.
