Radiology Technologist

Position Summary:
To safely and efficiently acquire diagnostic radiographs and do so in a polite and professional manner.
Excellence in Practice:
Technologist competently performs radiology procedures with correct positioning, technique and equipment operations. Technologist safely performs radiology procedures utilizing the ALARA principles for patients, self and others. Technologist delivers radiology procedures in an efficient and timely manner. Technologist assists Radiologist with procedures, such as fluoroscopy and biopsies, as necessary. Technologist reports all equipment problems to appropriate personnel i.e. senior technologist or radiology manager. Technologist performs related duties as required i.e. filing, answering phones, scheduling patients, ordering supplies, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc. Technologist uses proper mode of transport for patients. Technologist cooperates with other personnel in the proper conduct of the department to ensure a smoothly functioning and efficient overall department. Technologist takes general radiology call on a routine, rotating basis. Technologist rotates within department areas as determined and directed by the Radiology Manager. Technologist assists, as directed by the Radiology Manager, in all phases of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement. Technologist maintains certifications, registrations and licensure with all North Dakota state and national regulatory agencies including but not limited to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy state board. Education:
Successfully completed and graduated from an approved school of radiologic technology and be registered or registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Must maintain registration with ARRT. Must maintain license with North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy state board.
