Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at
MLR.org . This role involves examining clinical specimens for cancer or other diseases, documenting findings, and identifying abnormalities for further review by a pathologist. Responsibilities include performing quality control, assessing specimen adequacy, and supporting cytology processing to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field. Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by ASCP or an equivalent organization. A minimum of one year of clinical laboratory experience. Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment and strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:
Conduct microscopic analysis of cellular samples to identify abnormalities or signs of disease. Examine cellular morphology for indicators of cancer or precancerous conditions. Accurately document findings and collaborate with pathologists on complex cases. Adhere to protocols and quality control standards to ensure reliable results.
