Job Summary Assists radiology management in the development, organization and implementation of department operations at assigned sites for both general x-ray and mammography. Supervise radiology staff at assigned locations. Responsible for the FDA mammography program and ACR mammography accreditation of assigned site. Responsible for personal development, customer service, quality improvement and performance appraisals of site staff. Approves schedule changes for illness/emergencies. Orders supplies for sites. Responsible for performing general and mammography exams. Attends department and clinic meetings as necessary. Monitors radiology information system and PACS system.
What you will do
Supervisor Responsibilities: • Solicits suggestions for problem solving and process improvement from the staff. • Implements solutions to improve department functions. • Plans and coordinates all necessary services with staff and other departments to meet patient needs. • Supervises the staff of the department. • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the staff. • Communicates new information to staff in a timely manner. • Holds regular meetings with staff. • Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff performance. • Responds to performance issues in a timely manner. • Completes performance evaluations in a thorough and timely manner. • Responsible for creating staff schedules. • Approves and edits assigned staff time cards. • Responsible for evaluating and approving vacation requests made by assigned staff. • Oversees the purchasing of supplies Specialized Responsibilities: (This may not include all duties assigned.) • Performs routine diagnostic x-ray exams as required. • Supervises the day-to-day operations of assigned site departments to assure a high level of productivity and customer service. • Evaluates and maintains the quality of exams, procedures and service. • Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics and patient care. • Performs quality control procedures and maintains records for ACR and FDA mammography regulations. • Involvement in new employee training to achieve successful orientation to department. • Schedules and conducts site employee performance evaluations. • Work closely with the other Imaging Supervisors, staff, Manager and Associate Director to develop department processes that ensure quality patient care and customer service. • Supports and counsels staff in conflict resolution. • Orders supplies for assigned sites. • Serves as liaison between the department, Administration, other departments, and physicians. • Attends weekly and monthly department or clinic meetings for the purpose of discussion, concerns and determining department processes. • Participates in the interview process for new employees. • Knowledge of FDA, ACR, and MQSA regulations and documentation. • Ability to travel to various Prevea sites and seminar locations. • Supports clinic wide customer service initiatives and serves as a customer service role model. • Responds to performance issues in a timely manner following Prevea Clinic's discipline policy. Experience Qualifications
3-5 years Minimum of 5 years experience in the field. Required Previous supervisory experience Preferred Skills and Abilities
Good computer skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills. Licenses and Certifications
Current ARRT certification Upon Hire Required ARRT certified in Radiology and Mammography Upon Hire Preferred Responsibility for FDA, ACR and MQSA programs and certification Upon Hire Preferred Physical Demands
