Join our team as a Windows Systems Administrator to help drive the Compartmented Enterprise Services Office (CESO) initiative. We are building a cutting-edge secure web service (SWS) operation, designed to meet the needs of a growing customer base. This position is based in Arlington, VA and is 100% on-site.
2nd Shift hours are Monday-Friday, 12pm-8pm. Primary Responsibilities Create, maintain, and implement comprehensive documentation for standard operating procedures across the organization. Develop, implement, and monitor policies for effective allocation and use of computing resources. Analyze vendor offerings for hardware and software, recommending cost-effective solutions for purchasing and deployment. Review work completed by junior technical staff and provide guidance. Collaborate with network administrators to ensure the efficient operation of a multi-user computer system. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in a Windows server environment (e.g., 2008r2 and 2012r2). Additional experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position. Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, e.g., Security+ CE. Candidate may be asked to obtain CI Poly in the future. Experience with configuration, troubleshooting, and management of VMware environments. Expertise in Remote Desktop Services. Proficient in PowerShell scripting and familiarity with other programming languages like Python. Knowledgeable in applying security settings and commercial best practices, including DISA STIGS. Understanding of Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP). Experience with Group Policy Management (GPO) and local security policies. Familiarity with Windows Task Scheduler. Hands-on experience managing Active Directory. Proficient in system (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with DISA and its support to mission partners. TS/SCI with CI Poly preferred. Knowledge of integrating network management and element management systems with performance, trouble ticketing, and security functions is highly desired. Experience with support systems, including Ethernet switches, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS). A thorough understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, is a plus. Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy. ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
