Position Overview:
MLR Healthcare is seeking an
Ultrasound Tech
to join our diagnostic imaging team. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will play a key role in providing high-quality imaging services for our patients, using state-of-the-art equipment to help diagnose a range of conditions. Key Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, and other imaging studies, according to established protocols. Prepare patients for exams by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. Operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging results. Assist physicians and radiologists in interpreting ultrasound images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain and update patient records, documenting imaging results and following HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality. Ensure ultrasound equipment is functioning properly, conducting routine maintenance, and reporting any issues. Stay current with new ultrasound techniques, procedures, and technologies to ensure the highest quality patient care. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols. Provide exceptional patient care, offering support and answering questions to reduce anxiety and ensure a positive patient experience. Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field from an accredited program. Certification:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification, or eligible to obtain RDMS certification. Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in ultrasound imaging preferred, but new graduates with clinical experience are welcome to apply. Skills:
Proficiency in performing various ultrasound exams (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, etc.). Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, imaging techniques, and safety standards. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care and comfort. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in imaging. What We Offer:
