JOB SUMMARY : The CNL Technician Trainee is supervised during the training period. During the training period, there will be a focus on electrodiagnostic and testing to include but not limited to, EMG (electromyography) and EEG (electroencephalogram), etc. as ordered by physicians according to established protocols and national AANEM and ASET guidelines. At approved points in their training, the technician may begin to perform the tests independently. The technician has a working knowledge of functional neuroanatomy and neurophysiology. There will be on call requirements once trained. Upon completion of the Tech Trainee Program, the employee will move to a CNL Technologist I. EDUCATION : Associates of Science degree and/or 3-5 years of directly relevant patient care experience required. EXPERIENCE : Health care background preferred. WHY UVM MEDICAL CENTER (UVMMC)?
