Senior Software Engineer
to independently analyze the performance of hardware and software interfaces and identify alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources and modern hardware solutions. Position responsibilities
will include, but are not limited to: Participating in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software. Developing and reviewing architectures, component functional allocation and flows, interfaces, system processing, and performance for Systems Planning & Analysis (AN/SPA) systems. Developing descriptions and data flows of proposed systems and performing requirement analysis. Developing radar distribution towards a fully realized digital software-based version where all functions can be hosted in a compute virtualized and containerized environment. Assisting with network development within a radar distribution system to increase capabilities and maintain cybersecurity requirements, including validation. Developing Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software-based radar display video capabilities towards a virtualized and containerized solution. Gaining experience in the development of Naval combat systems, including definition, functional allocation, design development, testing, integration, and operational deployment. Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience: Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/electronics engineering, computer/software engineering, computer science, math, physics, or related scientific discipline. Ten (10)+ years of professional experience in C, C++, C#, Python, Visual Basic, and/or other object-oriented programming languages. Demonstrated software development experience using these languages under Unix, Windows, Linux, and/or MS-DOS operating systems. Algorithm development experience with skills in coding and analyzing algorithms, with experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). Advanced knowledge of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA).
