AG GRACE has a new opportunity for an
Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)
with a Secret Clearance to work on an exciting, fast-paced program. This position will collaborate closely with the customer team and external partners across all program security functions. Duties and Responsibilities: Create, review, and edit authorization documentation in accordance with federal and DoD policies. Implement DoD system accreditation processes (DIACAP acceptable and RMF preferred). Assess use case and operational risk of integrated open source, GOTS/COTS software components. Utilize vulnerability management systems, automated security scanning tools, and accreditation record systems. Facilitate information exchange, grasp new concepts, and collaborate with diverse audiences. Follow established processes and create defensible processes where none exist. Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management support. Recommend system-level solutions to meet security requirements and guide development teams. Support enforcement of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures. Design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments based on IA policies. Review software installation requests and conduct technical risk assessments. Work with system administrators to ensure security patches and tools are up-to-date. Perform vulnerability and risk assessments to support accreditation activities. Prepare and review documentation such as Risk Assessment Reports, Accreditation Packages, and security policies.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 9+ years, Masters with 7+ years, or PhD/JD with 5+ years of experience. Secret security clearance. Experience implementing security solutions as an ISSE. Expertise in secure network design, implementation, and accreditation. Knowledge of anti-virus, intrusion detection, firewalls, and content filtering. Familiarity with risk assessment tools (e.g., NESSUS, SPLUNK, HBSS). Understanding of DCID 6/3, ICD 503, and NIST 800-53 policies. Experience managing multiple contractors and privileged user requirements. Excellent communication skills. DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level II (e.g., Security+). Experience with DISA STIGs, SRGs, vulnerability management, and automated security scans. Ability to work independently and in teams.
