Human Resources Operations Manager
to lead and elevate our HR operations across a diverse, national workforce. About Us At Access Telehealth, we’re on a mission to improve health outcomes by connecting people with the care they need — wherever they live. From aged care and general practice to allied health and specialist care, we support clinicians and communities across Australia through innovative telehealth solutions and strong clinical governance. With over 170 internal staff and 100+ clinical contractors, we’re growing rapidly and need a strong HR leader to ensure our systems, processes, and people practices scale with us. The Role As
HR Operations Manager , you will play a central role in overseeing all HR operations, payroll coordination, and compliance functions, while acting as a key business partner to our Practice, Nursing, and Executive teams. You will: Lead end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, variations, and employee lifecycle processes Manage and enhance HRIS systems and ensure clean, compliant employee and contractor records Oversee payroll delivery and statutory compliance (in collaboration with internal/external providers) Guide managers on employee relations matters and lead incident and case management Drive internal communications, engagement initiatives, and the reward and recognition program Champion system improvements, automation, and continuous process refinement Partner with the Executive GM of Clinical & Customer Strategy, CFO, and external HR advisors on complex issues and strategic people projects Who We’re Looking For You’re a capable and credible HR leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, with: 7+ years’ experience in HR operations or leadership roles (150+ employee organisations) Strong working knowledge of Fair Work, payroll legislation, and compliance obligations Hands-on experience managing payroll or working closely with payroll teams A collaborative, solution-focused mindset with high attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to coach, lead, and influence Proficiency with modern HRIS systems (we use Employment Hero) and process improvement Bonus Points For: Experience in the healthcare, allied health, or telehealth space Familiarity with hybrid contractor/employee workforce models Why Join Us?
