Koniag Services, Inc. (KSI)is seeking an experienced Product Manager - Senior to lead our enterprise data initiatives. This position will be remote.

This position is for a future new business opportunity.

The Product Manager will be responsible for the performance of a relatively significant program or multiple smaller programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.

Position Description:

The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of enterprise data warehouse solutions that support business intelligence and analytics capabilities. This role will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of data warehouse projects.

Key responsibilities include:

Overseeing the technology development and/or application, marketing, and resource allocation within program client base.

Leading the planning, design, development, and implementation of large-scale data warehouse initiatives

Developing comprehensive project plans including scope, resource requirements, timelines, and budgets

Managing project teams comprising data architects, ETL developers, database administrators, and business analysts

Coordinating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure data solutions meet business needs

Overseeing the integration of data from multiple source systems into a centralized data warehouse

Ensuring data quality, data governance, and compliance standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle

Managing project risks, issues, and dependencies while implementing appropriate mitigation strategies

Providing regular status reports and presentations to executive leadership

Establishing and implementing best practices for data warehouse development and operations

Monitoring project progress against milestones and adjusting plans as needed

Facilitating communication between technical teams and business units

Evaluating and recommending data warehouse tools, technologies, and methodologies

Coordinating training and knowledge transfer to ensure successful adoption of new systems

Managing vendor relationships related to data warehouse implementations

Education and Experience:

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field

Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in IT project management with at least 5 years specifically focused on data warehouse implementation projects

Demonstrated success managing full lifecycle enterprise data warehouse projects, managing complex data warehouse implementations, strong technical knowledge of data architecture, and exceptional leadership abilities.

Required Skills and Competencies:

Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices

Strong understanding of data warehouse architectures, concepts, and methodologies

Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools

Proficiency in project management tools and techniques

Knowledge of database technologies including SQL and NoSQL solutions

Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to manage diverse technical teams

Strong budget management and resource planning capabilities

Superior communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders

Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks

Solid understanding of business intelligence and analytics concepts

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

Experience with change management techniques to ensure successful adoption

Strong vendor management capabilities

Desired Skills and Competencies:

Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Experience with cloud-based data warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse)

Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)

Experience with agile project management methodologies

Familiarity with data science and advanced analytics tools and practices

Experience with federal government or defense contractor data projects

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to data management (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)

Previous experience with data migration and legacy system modernization

Familiarity with Alaska Native Corporation business environment

Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik)

Understanding of machine learning and AI applications in data analytics

Knowledge of DevOps practices as applied to data warehouse development

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance required
