As a Software Engineer I, you will collaborate with technical teams to develop software solutions that enhance customer experience while adhering to business and technical requirements. Responsibilities: You can expect to gain experience with CI/CD development, Ansible automation, Linux Virtual Machines, Network Engineering concepts, and Kubernetes Cloud Deployments of your software Work in a fast-paced environment where priorities and feature requirements can change often Solve complex problems that may arise at a moments notice Support other team members internally and externally with our applications and their deployments Learn new concepts and technologies Qualifications: Required: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience 0-1+ year experience with database management systems 0-1+ year experience with coding, testing, and designing software 0-1+ year experience with software development methodologies Software development experience in Java and/or Python, Github or Gitlab pipeline experience for source control and a familiarity with Object Oriented Programming and microservices and/or containers. Basic knowledge of coding principles Knowledge of one major programming language/tool Knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns Understanding of applicable technical systems and programming in a general sense Showcases capability level work to their team Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained and work on problems of limited scope Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues Preferred: Python and/or Java Experience Github or Gitlab SCM and DevOps Experience Understanding of Microservice/Containers Experience with Ansible Network Engineering Concepts (TCP/UDP/DHCP/Routing/Switching) Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes Company: Spectrum is a cable telecommunications company that offers a range of home entertainment and information services.
