About The Job

The Red Hat Financial Services Consulting team is adding a Consultant with a background in enterprise automation technologies to join us remotely in the U.S, or Canada. In this role, you'll drive the adoption of Red Hat's automation solutions at key accounts. You'll engage both remotely and on-site to build trust with engineering, operations, and development teams by aligning their requirements with the real-world capabilities of our technologies.

This role requires hands-on experience with Ansible by Red Hat and a strong familiarity with tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, and other configuration management platforms. A solid grasp of modern DevOps practices and tooling is expected. This position requires regular on-site work with clients across North America, so a willingness to travel to customer locations required and applicants must reside within close proximity to a primary airport.

What You Will Do

Contribute to the design and delivery of complex Ansible automation solutions for Financial Services customers, translating business needs into scalable technical designs

Provide guidance on effectively leveraging Ansible Automation Platform and related Red Hat offerings

Act as a trusted technical advisor-helping clients navigate strategic decisions and operational challenges tied to automation

Communicate technical concepts effectively to a diverse range of audiences, including C-level stakeholders

Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and delivery success

Develop, test, and deploy robust Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections that cover use cases such as infrastructure automation, application deployment, compliance, and security orchestration

Contribute to the integration of Ansible with key enterprise platforms, including public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization stacks, networking infrastructure, and third-party tools

Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues across customer environments

Contribute to Red Hat's internal knowledge base by creating reusable assets, playbooks, and reference implementations

Stay up-to-date on AAP advancements, automation ecosystem trends, and emerging enterprise use cases

Expected to obtain and maintain at least two (2) active Red Hat certifications relevant to your role

After joining Red Hat... You will undergo an intensive customized training program on Red Hat technologies and Customer Success solutions. Here's how your skill set will evolve and what you'll learn during your first year in the role:

At 2 months, be prepared to join a project team by acquiring the following:

Understanding of how to build technical solutions, integrated with existing enterprise systems, with technical guidance

Learn technologies and consulting skills to enhance your abilities through enablements designed and taught by Red Hat experts and Red Hat certification

Gain exposure and collaboration within Red Hat Customer Success & the larger organization through everyday networking and community events

Within 6 months, be ready to deliver a project by attaining the following:

Collaborate on the successful delivery of customer projects as a technical contributor through expertise on Red Hat's technologies

Knowledge of how a customer use case can be developed into a project plan and how those requirements align with Red Hat's technologies

Continue expanding your knowledge and network, both internal and external, through enablement, communities, customers, and meetups

Within 12 months, begin to demonstrate technical leadership by accomplishing the following:

Successfully implementing complex, enterprise solutions in customer environments as part of the delivery team

Engage and share with our internal and external communities of practice on lessons learned, best practices, and how-tos

What You Will Bring

Background in delivering automation-first solutions across enterprise environments, especially cloud and hybrid infrastructure

Proven success implementing solutions from design through delivery as part of project teams

Consulting experience, ideally within large-scale transformation or automation-focused initiatives

Proficiency in scripting and infrastructure-as-code (Python, YAML, Bash)

Intermediate experience with automation tools, including Ansible (required), plus familiarity with tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, and PowerShell

Understanding of the business case for automation in complex IT environments

Experience building or integrating CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains

Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms

Working knowledge of security principles across infrastructure, OS, cloud, and hypervisors

Comfort working across distributed teams and open-source ecosystems

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to speak confidently with technical teams and executive leadership

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and evolving with industry best practices

Prior experience in the Financial Services industry is a strong plus

The salary range for this position is $94,550.00 - $151,170.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat's compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
