They are seeking an early-career Robotics Software Engineer to develop production-grade code and collaborate with various teams to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Responsibilities: Ship production-grade code for Fabric, our real-time integration layer connecting robots, CNCs, sensors, and PLCs to the Faction MES. Solve complex latency, fault-tolerance, and synchronization challenges. Set up and debug new robotic cells on-site, including overnight and weekend efforts as necessary. Ensure code reliability through rigorous testing, observability instrumentation, and clear documentation. Collaborate closely with controls engineers, roboticists, and manufacturing teams to translate requirements into deployed capabilities. Continuously improve Fabrics performance and scalability; proactively suggest and execute architectural upgrades. Qualifications: Required: Location: Currently based in DallasFort Worth area or able and willing to relocate immediately. Bias for Action: Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of at least one significant project (academic, personal, internship, or open-source). Provide examples of working code. Hands-on Hardware Curiosity: Proven experience building, debugging, or troubleshooting hardware-related projects (robotics, drones, automotive, 3D printing, etc.). Solid Coding Fundamentals: Strong proficiency in at least one of Rust, Go, C++, or Java, with the discipline to deliver maintainable, high-quality code. Extreme Ownership Mindset: Willingness and enthusiasm to work hands-on, including extended factory-floor hours, until the job is done. Learning Agility: Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of new protocols, hardware integrations, and manufacturing processes without extensive guidance. Clear Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to effectively collaborate within cross-functional teams. Preferred: Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, EtherCAT) or PLC programming. Familiarity with real-time control systems, motion libraries, or sensor data processing. Contributions to open-source robotics, embedded, or automation projects. Exposure to SCADA systems, Industrial IoT stacks, or OT cybersecurity. Company: Founded in 2024, headquartered in Dallas, TX, US, with a team of 11-50 employees.
