We are looking for a
Senior Software/DevOps Engineer
to join our team. The ASCENDING team commits to delivering scalable and highly available cloud solutions to clients. We use advanced technology to assess the effectiveness of current IT infrastructure and help clients modernize their systems for optimal cloud performance. As ASCENDING continues to grow rapidly, you will play a vital role in business expansion and solution development to drive our success. - Location: Hybrid in Fairfax, VA. - Full-time position with benefits including 401k, healthcare, dental, vision, paid holidays, and PTO. - Work VISA sponsorships available. We seek a highly skilled Client-Facing Lead Software Engineer with strong AWS expertise. The ideal candidate will have extensive software development experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver high-quality solutions. Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop, test, and deploy software solutions on AWS. Serve as the primary technical contact for client projects. Communicate project status, technical issues, and solutions clearly to clients. Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction. Provide technical support and training to clients as needed. Qualifications: Strong communication skills. 7+ years of experience. At least 2 years of hands-on experience with the listed tools/areas. At least 3 years of experience in IT consulting firms. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Java. Hands-on experience with AWS platform; AWS Certification is a plus. Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services, especially AWS services like AWS Config, CloudTrail, SCPs, KMS, VPC, CDK.
