Crisis Stabilization Unit Director
for our Hannibal Communications Drive Office. This full-time salaried position offers competitive pay and full benefits. This position provides oversight of the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), also known as a Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) at the Recovery Center, executing the clinical procedures of the unit, monitoring quality assurance processes, managing and promoting the crisis stabilization services related to the program. Additionally, this position provides oversight of consumer care in collaboration with the Clinical/ Recovery/ Mobile Crisis Response Team, including comprehensive crisis stabilization care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assure that the CSU is complying with all agency policies/ procedures and state and federal certification standards (CARF, DBH, and BNDD) Work closely with MTBH leadership to offer robust crisis stabilization services to area adults in effort to localize care, provide least restrictive options, stabilize individuals in crisis and refer to ongoing behavioral health/ SUD treatment services Support documentation of services performed in accordance with DMH, CARF, and MTBH Policies and Procedures Consult with staff regarding medications, psychosocial comprehensive assessments, crisis interventions, and other necessary issues as they arise in the CSU Train and develop staff in the areas of crisis stabilization, medication protocols, and patient education on local available resources to connect consumers to ongoing support systems Oversee medication storage and dispensing of medications if license allows oversight, and If not, collaborate with Recovery Withdrawal Management / Detox Director for assistance with medication Participate in agency Quality Improvement Program Provide input on agency Policy and Procedure for CSU Services Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff and provide ongoing training for existing staff that are under this position’s supervision Supervise program staff, including the completion of schedules and performance evaluations Be available to field inquiries from other departmental staff regarding the care of consumers Collaborate with the members of the Leadership Team, Medical Providers, and Medical Directors on the delivery of quality SUD (Substance Use Disorder)/ Integrated Services Submit required CSU/ BHCC statistics to the Missouri Behavioral Health Council (MBHC) monthly for review Attend internal program director meetings, MBHC State-Wide meetings, and local CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) coalitions to promote the implementation of CSU services across the state Establish a CSU marketing plan in collaboration with the MTBH Director of Marketing and Community Development, provide education on CSU services, and seek feedback from community stakeholders Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.
