Pharmacist Lead - Non-Sterile Operations

Nemours is seeking a Pharmacist Lead - Non-Sterile Operations (Full-Time)
to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Orlando, Florida. This supervisory position oversees Nonsterile Pharmacy Operations, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy personnel. Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience as a Hospital Pharmacist, preferably with Nonsterile Products, and 2 years of supervisory experience. Extensive knowledge of USP 795/797/800 regulations is required. ASHP or Board Certification in USP 795 is preferred. Work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm, with periodic staffing and weekend rotations. Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is a state-of-the-art pediatric hospital with 130 beds, a 24-hour Emergency Department designed for children, outpatient pediatric clinics, and specialty services. Our facility combines healing environments with healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to children in Central Florida and beyond. This role involves overseeing daily Nonsterile Operations, ensuring patient pharmaceutical needs are met, and maintaining safety and compliance through clinical, operational, and regulatory expertise. Responsibilities include managing Nonsterile Products, compounding personnel, Pyxis, and CII safe area operations, while reducing waste through standardized procedures. Key duties include managing Pyxis and CII safe operations, supervising pharmacy staff, coordinating workflows, ensuring compliance with SOPs, and maintaining quality standards in nonsterile pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. The pharmacist will also handle incident investigations, staff training, and regulatory compliance, including adherence to FDA, DEA, USP standards, and Joint Commission requirements. Additional responsibilities involve process improvement, technology management, and acting as a liaison with clinical staff to ensure safe and effective medication practices. The role requires leadership in safety initiatives, staff performance evaluations, and participation in quality improvement projects. **Job Requirements:** RPh or PharmD required Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience, preferably with Nonsterile Products, or equivalent PGY-1 and PGY-2 residencies At least 2 years of supervisory experience or PGY-2 in Pharmacy Administration Florida Pharmacy License required AHA BLS Certification within 90 days of hire ASHP-accredited residency or certification preferred Extensive knowledge of USP 795/797/800 regulations Knowledge of healthcare quality, safety, and change management principles Lean management principles preferred #LI-EP1 About the Company
