Department Overview
Our St. Paul float team is an integral part of nursing services and provides a valuable resource to the entire Children's Minnesota St. Paul Campus. Float team members apply skills in a number of areas and are extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and flexible with the care they provide and units they support. Our nursing care team consists of registered nurses, clinical support associates and unit operations coordinators. RNs hired into this area would support all medical surgical areas as well have the option of choosing the NICU or the PICU track (including the ED and PACU), while Unit Operations Coordinators and Clinical Support Associates hired into this area would support all the areas in the hospital on the St Paul campus. This approach offers the flexibility of working in different units while learning new skills every day. We value teamwork, open communication, safety and respect. We embrace an environment that encourages learning and professional growth. Our amazing team is committed to providing excellent care to our patients and families. We incorporate the Comfort Promise into our care - ensuring that procedural pain is minimized whenever possible. Provides safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff and maintains equipment and supplies per unit standard.
