Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription: RedMatter Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Senior System Architect to support a government client. Analyze data models to ensure efficiency and accuracy in supporting business analysis. Support all aspects of operational, technical, and informational architecture. Discern customer requirements and validate models to ensure alignment. Develop and present IT solutions based on enterprise-level strategic business or technical requirements. Define the approach for structuring applications and determine the appropriate use of technology solutions. Define and validate technical requirements and architecture quality attributes. Design high-quality architectures and lead architectural activities aligned with leadership requirements and consistent with enterprise standards. Design, develop, and implement enterprise cloud architecture application solutions, strategies, processes, and standards with a strong focus on cloud technologies. In addition, the Senior System Architect will: Manage IT application projects, including the design, development, and implementation of architectural components. Develop and communicate architectural proposals across various initiatives. Lead IT strategy development and oversee implementation of integrated systems. Analyze business requirements for database design and execute necessary changes. Design and implement infrastructure to support highly complex, reliable, and scalable databases aligned with organizational needs. Collaborate with business owners, analysts, engineers, development teams, and infrastructure services to define, establish, and communicate standards and policies for application and data architecture. Evaluate and maintain current equipment. Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions, including servers and databases. Evaluate complex system architectures for performance and efficiency improvements. Provide cloud-based solutions that align with organizational requirements, security mandates, and enterprise goals. Lead or manage cloud design efforts as required, ensuring secure, scalable, and future-ready architectures. Support secure, agile implementations that meet cybersecurity requirements while allowing for adaptability in cloud technologies. Requirements: 12+ years of experience supporting Information Technology 7+ years of experience supporting IBM Products, Oracle Products, and Cloud-Based Products Training and certification in IBM products Proven experience in planning, leadership, and coordination of multiple concurrent, deadline-driven tasks in support of large-scale, highly available systems integrated with business-critical applications AWS Solutions Architect certification is mandatory Demonstrated understanding of the full software development lifecycle (development, enhancement, and maintenance) Ability to perform complex technical tasks and solve advanced challenges Strong technical knowledge of enterprise IT systems and services, and Access Management, and AWS GovCloud systems and services Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and an understanding of how changes (enhancements, defects, or other requests) impact system architecture Must obtain and maintain a Non-Sensitive / High Risk (Public Trust) Tier 4/6c security clearance Expert-level knowledge of modern advances in computer science and engineering Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders
