Phone/Skype Job Description: Digital Intelligence Systems (DISYS) is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to be part of a high-performance Agile development team based in Oakland, California. The ideal candidate started as a Developer, has a minimum of 8 years experience, has been exposed to multiple technologies, and has found a passion in DevOps automation. This is a long-term consulting engagement requiring On-Premise DevOps expertise, not Cloud or AWS engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop, test, and maintain build and deployment scripts in CI/CD frameworks/tools to automate and streamline deployment processes. Drive the DevOps team toward automation and deployment best practices. Partner with software architects and development teams to design DevOps processes that help achieve team goals. Produce and maintain documentation on installations, procedures, and system requirements. Monitor applications. Research, suggest, and implement new technologies, strategies, and solutions to technical issues. TECHNOLOGIES Jenkins, Git, Docker, Docker Enterprise, Docker Compose, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Nexus, Artifactory, Ansible, Nginx, Cassandra/MongoDB, Terraform, Ruby. SKILLS Manage Linux-based systems. Code and configure CI/CD pipelines. Manage source control systems. Strong understanding of internet, cloud, and network security concepts. Containerization and orchestration experience. Infrastructure as code. Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
