Job Description CSCI Consulting is looking for highly skilled

Senior Cloud Engineer

to support Oracle-based cloud infrastructure in a high-impact federal environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) migrations, and a proven ability to drive infrastructure modernization initiatives in hybrid environments.

This position requires a blend of hands-on engineering, DevSecOps leadership, and deep familiarity with Agile-based delivery models, particularly in support of large-scale logistics or ERP

systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, deployment, and management of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, including tenancy, compartments, identity domains, and virtual networking

Support migration, sustainment, and optimization of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) workloads and databases (Oracle 19c, Exadata Cloud Services) in OCI

Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ensuring consistent and repeatable provisioning

Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and GitOps strategies into the delivery lifecycle

Perform system performance tuning and latency analysis in hybrid on-prem/cloud Oracle environments

Provide technical leadership for ERP modernization waves, including cutover planning, rollback testing, and sustainment strategy

Support Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Planning Increments (PIs), and participate in Agile ceremonies using SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban

Manage and monitor systems using Oracle Enterprise Manager, automated monitoring, and AI/ML tools for predictive analytics

Ensure compliance with IAT Level II cybersecurity requirements and ITIL-based service management best practices

Coordinate across functional and technical teams to resolve incidents, implement changes, and continuously improve system reliability

Minimum Requirements

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

7-10 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certification

IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC)

Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving

Ability to work with clients to understand their needs

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional presence

Preferred Skills

Demonstrated success supporting Oracle EBS in OCI, including performance tuning and hybrid architecture optimization

Experience with Oracle middleware technologies: WebLogic, SOA Suite, OIM/OID, Axway API Gateway

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and Agile contracting models

ITIL v4 certification or hands-on experience with ITIL-based service operations

Experience managing and modernizing large-scale federal ERP or logistics systems

Familiarity with AI/ML integration to support predictive monitoring and analytics

Strong leadership skills, with a history of driving technical outcomes and managing cross-functional teams

Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently

Strong customer and vendor relationship skills

Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies

Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value

Past experience working with a federal agency

Department of Defense experience is a plus!
