Are you a seasoned Network Architect with a passion for revolutionizing network and security platforms? Our client is seeking a Principal Network Architect to lead efforts in modernizing transport and customer connectivity, both on-premise and in the cloud.
As the Principal Network Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our network infrastructure, driving innovation, and enhancing customer experience. Leveraging your expertise in network architecture, security protocols, and cloud technologies, you will design and implement cutting-edge solutions to optimize connectivity, improve performance, and ensure the security of our network ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Performance Optimization:
Continuously monitor and optimize network, system, and cloud performance, addressing bottlenecks, latency issues, and other challenges to deliver an exceptional user experience. Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement initiatives to modernize network infrastructure and enhance customer connectivity, aligning with business objectives and industry standards. Network Design and Implementation:
Design, architect, and deploy scalable and resilient network solutions supporting evolving business needs, utilizing the latest technologies and protocols. Cloud Integration:
Lead efforts to connect networks with cloud platforms, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal cloud application performance. Security Compliance:
Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure and customer data, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Vendor Management:
Manage vendor relationships, evaluating and selecting vendors based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Technical Leadership:
Provide guidance to cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and foster a culture of innovation. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in network architecture and design, with expertise in network technologies. Proven success in designing and implementing network solutions in complex, multi-site environments. Deep knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Experience troubleshooting complex performance issues using tools like observability platforms, packet analysis, and system logs. Hands-on experience with SD-WAN/SASE, Cisco ACI, Meraki, and Zscaler. Strong understanding of cloud technologies and architecture, with experience integrating network connectivity with platforms like Azure and Google Cloud.
