The CEO is the highest-ranking executive responsible for defining and executing the company's long-term strategic direction, driving organizational performance, and leading the company through its next phase of growth. The CEO will oversee a high-performing leadership team, ensure compliance and safety across all operations, and foster a results-driven, innovative, and accountable corporate culture. This role is ideal for a seasoned executive with deep expertise in transportation, drayage, or fleet operations, and a proven ability to manage and grow asset-intensive businesses in fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a clear strategic vision aligned with company priorities to support long-term growth and national expansion. Operational Oversight:
Drive cross-functional alignment and efficiency across operations, finance, safety, HR, technology, and customer service. Financial Management:
Ensure fiscal discipline through robust budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability. Regulatory Compliance & Safety:
Uphold high standards of compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and employment laws; promote a strong safety culture. External Partnerships & Growth:
Represent the company in negotiations, strategic partnerships, and key customer engagements; lead business development and service diversification. Organizational Development:
Lead workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning; foster a high-performance culture with accountability and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as the company's face to clients, regulators, investors, community leaders, and industry partners. Board Communication:
Provide transparent updates to the Board on strategic milestones, performance, risks, and developments. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. 10–15 years of executive leadership in transportation, drayage, or fleet operations. At least 5 years leading cross-functional teams with enterprise-wide responsibilities. Success in improving operational efficiency, financial performance, and organizational culture. Expertise in regulatory compliance (FMCSA, DOT), logistics, and operational technologies. Strong strategic planning, communication, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to lead organizational change and build consensus across teams. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business (MBA or equivalent). 15+ years in transportation or logistics industry. 7–10 years in a senior executive role. Experience in business development and scaling operations nationally. The target compensation range is $200,000 to $222,000, based on education, experience, certifications, and location.
