Teammate manages a portfolio of investment accounts, meeting regularly with clients and prospects to cultivate positive relationships, deliver superior customer service, and attract new clients. Portfolio management includes analyzing and making recommendations for stocks, bonds, and outside money managers, and may include specific oversight and management in one or more of the following areas: municipal bond investment process, taxable fixed income investment process, mutual fund investment process, and equity investment process. The teammate provides the highest quality of service to every customer. Essential Functions Conduct meetings with clients and prospects, facilitate risk assessments, and discuss individual financial goals to ensure that proposals address investment priorities. Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients through regular, proactive contact, client events, Bank entertainment opportunities (during normal business hours as well as after hours), and routine follow-up, ensuring adherence to the Bank's Culture of Excellence. Educate clients and prospects regarding asset allocation considerations and investment strategies that are available to achieve desired financial outcomes. Manage customer investment portfolios to achieve customer goals. Meet with prospects to attract new business and assist in achieving division financial goals. Participate in client meetings at least annually to evaluate account performance against financial goals, including coordination with Sr. Financial Planner on individual clients to ensure a plan where appropriate. Serve on the Investment Review Subcommittee, actively collaborating on asset allocation views and portfolio construction best practices. Assist with research in developing working lists for stocks, mutual funds, and ETFs. Maintain current knowledge of developments in portfolio management and financial markets. Support compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies of the Bank, the Wealth Management Division, and Diamond Capital Management. Make recommendations to improve internal policies. Promote the Bank's image in the community by participating in community activities, coordinating community development efforts, and promoting involvement in community service organizations to generate new business opportunities. Serve on Wealth Management committees as assigned. Depending on area of specialization, essential functions may also include: Coordinate equity analysis resulting in maintenance of DCM working lists, initiating additions and deletions based on diligent analysis. Provide portfolio management leadership in taxable and tax-exempt fixed income strategies and processes. Coordinate municipal bond management and asset audit strategies. Track fixed income credit quality changes. Write market commentaries and marketing materials as needed. Supervise one or more members of the DCM team. Required Education, Experience, and Skills College degree in a related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience. Advanced educational degree and/or designation (e.g., CFA, CPA, CFP, CAIA, CMT) highly preferred. Minimum of ten years of experience in wealth management/portfolio management or a combination of experience and designations. Proven effectiveness in building relationships and developing business opportunities. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with a strong emphasis on responsiveness. Ability to communicate accurately, professionally, diplomatically, and tactfully (verbally and in writing). High accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to interpret data and solve problems. Organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently, self-motivated and self-directed. Proficiency with trust and banking systems, and Microsoft Office applications is highly beneficial.
