Job Description:
This role is responsible for managing a corporate security function and providing guidance to the team of corporate security employees supporting that function. Key responsibilities include identifying, analyzing, and resolving complex problems. The role involves ensuring compliance with policies and identifying opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
Provides a safe and secure work environment through strong partnerships, timely response, education, and innovative solutions. Responsible for administering and adhering to the threat management program. Leads a team of security professionals who identify, assess, and supervise incidents of workplace violence. Provides solutions to highly complex problems with long-term impact. Conducts education, awareness, incident response, and understands violence risk assessment, warning signs of potential future violence, and develops mitigation strategies. Ensures compliance with the banks policies on acceptable workplace behavior and is familiar with applicable laws and regulations. Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients, partners, and team members, fostering teamwork. Provides leadership in fast-paced, stressful situations, works independently with little oversight, and documents investigative results thoroughly. Conducts sensitive interviews, makes inferences, recommends strategies, and supports decision-making. Consideration may be given to applicants with a background in threat management or workplace violence mitigation. Must be on-call 24/7 for crisis/security events.

Supports the performance of the corporate security function and ensures achievement of strategic goals.
Assists in recruiting and developing security professionals.
Builds trust and effective partnerships with enterprise stakeholders.
Drives process improvements to adapt to evolving security environments.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of security/threat management, military, or law enforcement experience, especially in workplace violence prevention or behavioral analysis.
Experience in conducting in-depth threat investigations and violence mitigation.
Ability to manage sensitive issues with empathy, de-escalate volatile situations, and understand human behavior.
Strong communication skills, including presenting complex material to large audiences.
Critical thinking, investigative skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to influence stakeholders and build trust.
Experience representing the department to executives, law enforcement, and professional groups.
Strong relationship management skills.
Adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Desired Qualification:
Bachelors degree preferred.
