Apply locations: Richmond, California, United States of America Time type: Full time Posted on: Posted Yesterday Job requisition id: R-018908
*This is a hybrid role based out of our HQ in Richmond, CA. In-office expectation is 3 days a week.*
ABOUT THE POSITION With the relaunch of our brand look and feel in 2023, our marketing creative team has worked hard to differentiate Mountain Hardwear and affirm our position as both a tenured yet forward-positioned brand – and we need a sharp, driven, experienced, and outrageously organized producer to continue seeking our wilder path.
We’re looking for a Content Producer to support the MHW Marketing Creative Team in delivering progressive outdoor marketing creative (photography, video, written and visual stories) each season. Working closely with the MHW Brand Creative Director, you will be the main point of contact for our 20+ seasonal external creative partners regarding contract negotiations, procurement, designing and driving project timelines, managing budgets and scope of work, orchestrating photo and video shoots (in the wild and in studio), receiving and organizing assets on Content Hub, and ensuring successful delivery of seasonal assets across all channels to internal and external partners.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Build, foster, and maintain positive relationships with current, project-appropriate, on-brand creative partners.
Assist in assembling external project teams aligned with budget and MHW creative vision.
Manage content creation budget and negotiate costs with external creative partners.
Design and drive project timelines, dates, and gates across all phases—production, post-production, feedback, and final delivery—ensuring on-time completion and clear communication of expectations.
Order, receive, and manage seasonal apparel and equipment samples and accessories.
Assemble, pack, and deliver/send apparel and equipment kits for shoots, tracking product details.
Anticipate needs and challenges for each shoot and prepare solutions in advance.
Stay informed on seasonal marketing initiatives and budget priorities.
Attend on-location shoots when necessary to manage products and support external creative teams in the field.
Communicate clearly and kindly with internal clients, external project team members, and post-production personnel.
Ensure all final images and videos are properly sized, formatted, named, and tracked.
Maintain fluency with relevant digital tools and stay updated with new technology in photography and video fields.
Utilize Columbia server structure and Content Hub for image hosting, storage, and archiving.
Perform basic functions within Figma to collaborate and provide assets to the Creative Team.
Support seasonal creation of PDP website photography.
Contribute to creating images of products and people as directed.
Prepare sets for upcoming shoots and ensure all equipment is available and functioning, including lighting adjustments if needed.
Adhere to departmental guidelines and SOPs.
WHO YOU ARE
Passionate about and knowledgeable in outdoor pursuits like hiking, trail running, climbing, bouldering, snowboarding, and skiing.
Extremely organized with strong, clear, and kind communication skills.
Successful in building relationships with internal and external collaborators.
A seasoned producer with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines; agency experience is a plus.
WHAT YOU HAVE
Bachelor’s degree, applicable certification, or equivalent experience.
2-4 years of professional experience with proficiency in relevant software tools and systems.
High level of project ownership and accountability for assets and communication.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficient in Outlook, Asana, Content Hub, Milanote, Excel, and financial tracking; basic Figma experience is a plus.
Exceptional remote communication skills.
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs.
