Executive Director, Oncology Translational Medicine, Clinical Pharmacology Modelling and Simulation Locations: USA - Pennsylvania - Upper Providence; USA - Massachusetts - Waltham; USA - North Carolina - Durham This position requires an on-site office presence for 2-3 days per week. We have an exciting opportunity at GSK for a highly motivated and experienced Executive Director to join our Oncology Clinical Pharmacology Modelling and Simulation (CPMS) department within Translational Medicine. This role focuses on delivering CPMS excellence to research and development programs, helping to accelerate the development of innovative oncology therapies by ensuring they reach the right patients, at the right dose, and at the right time. Job Purpose The Executive Director, translational & clinical pharmacology, will contribute strategically to drug discovery and development projects. Collaborating with colleagues across Research Technology, DMPK, Toxicology, and Clinical Pharmacology, the role involves translating findings into clinical trial implementations. The incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert, providing scientific leadership in experimental design, data interpretation, and supporting global harmonization of pre-clinical and clinical reporting. The role also involves designing workflows, optimizing processes, and fostering communication among clinical pharmacologists, bioanalysts, and DMPK professionals. This position requires an on-site office presence for 2-3 days per week. Key Responsibilities : Develop strategies and provide guidance on translational aspects of clinical pharmacology, bioanalysis, PK/PD modeling, and data analysis for GSK Oncology programs. Oversee translational planning for bioanalysis/biomarker analysis, bridging to clinical pharmacology and modeling/simulation to support development programs. Design clinical pharmacology studies (e.g., rBA/BE, DDI, special populations, ADME, TQT) in collaboration with R&D teams. Advise on modeling and simulation strategies, including population PK, exposure-response, and PBPK modeling to support trial design and regulatory submissions. Contribute to regulatory dossiers and participate in regulatory meetings as needed. Stay current with bioanalysis, DMPK, and clinical pharmacology guidance and literature to mitigate risks. Analyze data from nonclinical studies, including contracted PK/PD data and advanced modeling. Build relationships with external partners and stay informed on industry trends. Other duties as assigned. Why you? Basic Qualifications: PhD in biological/pharmaceutical sciences or related field with at least 15 years of industry experience. Expertise in drug discovery and development of oncology therapeutics. Extensive experience in nonclinical and clinical drug development functions. At least 14 years managing matrix teams, external providers, and consultants. Hands-on experience with clinical PK/PD data analysis and advanced modeling (Population PK, PBPK). Experience with ADCs, TCEs, small molecules, and antibodies. Excellent writing skills and familiarity with ICH/FDA/EMA guidelines. Strong leadership, management, and cross-functional understanding. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to learn new biological sciences and develop mechanistic PK-PD models. Understanding of PK-PD principles and models. Ability to communicate modeling outcomes effectively to project teams. Knowledge of oncology mechanisms, endpoints, and treatments. Effective collaboration, accountability, and multi-tasking skills.
