Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology line of business, you will lead engineering efforts to drive impact across the organization. You will be responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions to support the firm's business objectives. You will utilize your knowledge of Microservices, Java full-stack development, Data, Analytics, Applications, Technical Processes, and Product Management to lead and deliver on complex projects and initiatives, make key technical decisions, and drive innovation and solution delivery. You will be part of an innovative team using the latest skills and technologies, including AI-based coding assistants.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and implement functional technology objectives through development of additions and enhancements, primarily in Java code deployed on AWS.
Implement cloud-hosted low-latency/high-resiliency services to support the CCB-Risk Third Party Services group.
Collaborate with product owners and team members to define solutions for business requirements.
Promote the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Extensive knowledge in Java full-stack development, Microservices, and AWS deployment processes.
Hands-on experience coding Java applications using Spring Boot.
Experience designing, developing, and deploying software components on AWS using services like ECS, Lambda, S3, NLB/ALB, and Aurora RDS.
Understanding of architectural best practices for reliability, security, operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
Commitment to quality, including automated unit, integration, and acceptance testing.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Developer, or Solutions Architect preferred.
Experience using Terraform for infrastructure-as-code deployment.
Knowledge of Linux scripting languages such as Bash, KSH, or Python.
