Job Description Retirement Plan Advisors (RPA) is a registered investment adviser (RIA) headquartered in downtown Chicago. You are a detail-oriented individual who has a basic understanding of investment products, feels comfortable working in spreadsheets, and possesses solid math and analytical skills. This is a permanent part-time position, 20-30 hours per week. Full-time is possible in the future. Job Summary: The Portfolio Implementation Specialist, under the direction of RPA’s Chief Investment Officer and Investment Committee, will initiate and ensure accurate updates to plan sponsor menus and investor portfolios whenever changes occur in the underlying investment options or allocations. Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain plan investment menus in firm database Prepare defined contribution plan mappings for Investment Committee review and approval Prepare trades for Investment Committee review and approval Coordinate trade execution with Operations Team; reconcile trades to ensure accuracy Communicate with plan recordkeepers and custodians to maintain lists of available investments across all of RPA’s plan administrator relationships Assist with investment manager research and due diligence Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Experience: Background and/or interest in finance and investments preferred Keen attention to detail and comfortable organizing unstructured data Accurately follows verbal and written communications Communicates clearly and effectively with associates, advisors, and third-party partners, in a professional and courteous manner Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and instructions furnished in writing, verbally, via diagram, or in schedule form Ability to write basic business correspondence and document procedures Solid math skills Solid computer skills, including in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; comfortable with web-based software platforms; familiarity with AI chatbots and task automation is a plus Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to solve practical challenges and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Self-motivated and capable of working independently Strong organizational and time management skills Works well under pressure Willing to become an expert across all recordkeeper and custodian platforms 2+ years of related work experience preferred College degree preferred Please submit your resume and cover letter to be considered.
