Job Summary The Senior Estimator operates with minimal oversight, serving as the main contact with the design team and owner. Capable of leading various project delivery methods, they demonstrate competence in all estimating functions, including cost for all work elements and preparing estimates and plans with minimal review. They also mentor staff estimators.
Key Responsibilities
Perform basic estimating functions such as quantity takeoff, pricing, and bid analysis.
Develop conceptual estimates for review.
Coordinate with third-party consultants and justify estimates.
Lead the preparation of estimating documents and deliverables.
Handle advanced estimating tasks, including serving as the primary contact for bids and applying indirect costs.
Coordinate with operations for project planning.
Provide feedback on cost and constructability to the design team.
Minimum Job Requirements
Four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience.
Project experience in key market sectors.
LEED accreditation and DBIA certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
At least ten years of estimating experience on heavy civil/infrastructure projects.
Physical Requirements
Ability to wear PPE and perform physical activities as required.
Additional Information Salary Range: $120,000-$165,000 annually, based on experience.
