We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Temporary Tax Senior Manager to lead our direct tax and tax provision functions. This role involves overseeing domestic and international income tax compliance and ASC 740 tax accounting. The ideal candidate understands the complexities of Technology and Marketplace tax, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can scale tax processes to support growth and regulatory changes. This position is remote, requiring up to 40 hours per week. The hourly rate ranges from $50-$75. What you will do:

Lead quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provision processes, including preparation, review, and disclosure of tax footnotes. Manage deferred taxes, valuation allowances, and uncertain tax positions across U.S. and international entities. Ensure SOX-compliant internal controls over tax reporting and coordinate with external auditors. Partner with global finance teams and local advisors to prepare and file U.S. federal, state, local, and international income tax returns, including international information reporting (e.g., Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118). Maintain documentation for transfer pricing and foreign tax credits. Monitor OECD, BEPS 2.0, and global tax reforms, assessing their impacts. Identify strategic tax planning opportunities to reduce the global effective tax rate (ETR). Support M&A due diligence, structuring, and integration from a tax perspective. Evaluate and optimize tax impacts of digital marketplace operations and cross-border sales. Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to align tax strategies with business goals. Work with the indirect tax team on nexus studies, marketplace rules, and audits. Support transfer pricing policies, documentation, and intercompany charges for digital services, IP, and logistics. Who you are:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related; Master’s in Tax or JD/LLM preferred. CPA preferred. 8+ years in U.S. federal, state, and international income tax, including public accounting and corporate experience. Strong expertise in ASC 740, international tax, and compliance. Experience managing tax provisions for multinational companies. Experience in fast-paced environments, preferably eCommerce, SaaS, or digital retail. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) and tax tools (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax).
