We are seeking a highly motivated individual with substantive industry experience, at least one year of law firm experience, and a degree in mechanical, chemical, or biomedical engineering (or a related field) to join our patent counseling & prosecution practice. Responsibilities include conducting prior art database searches, analyzing patent and scientific papers, and drafting patent applications and responses to office actions. Candidates must have superb technical, written, and verbal communication skills in English, broad scientific knowledge in mechanical and/or biomedical engineering, and be a registered US patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam. Law school tuition assistance is available for patent agent candidates. The expected annual pay range is $125,000 - $205,000, dependent on location, experience, and skills.
