Job Description
Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Cryptologic Computer Scientist 3 who designs, develops, delivers, and operates solutions to complex cryptologic computer science problems within a scientific framework. Responsibilities include forensics, attack attribution, network protection, system warnings, active system penetration, and knowledge discovery of passive and active systems, supporting cryptologic missions. The role requires applying computer science skills such as operating systems, compiler theory, database theory, algorithms, computer architecture, discrete math, programming languages, and data structures to develop state-of-the-art techniques and tools.
The candidate will work with the CASA team, which requires additional vetting, and will be part of the DRAGONS team focusing on VSAT/RF exploitation, signals, protocol analysis ( 452 graduate ), SATCOM networking, shell scripting, and Python familiarity.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience
Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience
Doctoral degree plus 4 years of relevant experience
Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience may be considered if experience is in-depth and clearly related to the position
Degree must be in Computer Science (CS) or related fields with relevant coursework in algorithms, computer architecture, programming methodologies, data structures, logic, and advanced mathematics
Relevant experience includes computer systems research, simulation/model development, software design, programming, computational science, algorithm analysis, reverse engineering, and developing computer or information systems
Some Python programming skills are required
