An esteemed organization is seeking a senior transplant surgeon to serve as Surgical Director of Liver Transplantation. This is a great opportunity to join an established and reputable entity with strong financial and leadership support, and to influence the future of a busy transplant program.
The Medical Director will oversee an established transplant program that offers liver, kidney, pancreas, and living donor transplants, as well as hepatobiliary surgery.
Qualifications:
More than 10 years post-fellowship experience in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery. Board-certified in General Surgery. Fellowship trained in an ASTS-accredited abdominal transplant fellowship. Must meet OPTN/UNOS certification for primary liver transplant surgeons. Responsibilities:
Ensure excellent patient outcomes and program growth. Maintain compliance with UNOS and OPTN regulations. Build relationships with internal teams and community partners. Supervise advanced practice providers. Train medical students, residents, and fellows. Participate in clinical and translational research. Skills:
Proven leadership and team-building abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Compensation:
Sign-on bonus and commencement bonus. Productivity and quality bonuses. $6,000 CME allowance for licensing, DEA registration, hospital dues, and courses. Malpractice coverage. Relocation package.
