Diamond Foundry is seeking a

Senior Laser Process Engineer

responsible for deploying and optimizing kilowatt power laser machines across our facilities. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, automation, optical, software, and system engineers to improve and implement these technologies company-wide. You will develop standard procedures, manuals, and train staff for process optimization, technical support, and continuous improvement of laser processes.

Responsibilities

Optimize high-power ablative laser processes for micron-precision diamond modifications with high yields and throughput.

Design and conduct experiments with lab and production equipment to generate data-driven process improvements.

Lead projects on equipment and automation improvements supporting scalable manufacturing.

Serve as a subject matter expert, overseeing laser processes and optimizing controls and data collection for continuous improvement.

Recommend and lead hardware and software enhancements to improve system performance and yield.

Requirements

Advanced degree in Materials Science, Applied Physics (materials, laser, or optics focus), or Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.

Experience with mass production of diamond, semiconductors, or ceramics.

Expertise in optical fundamentals, laser processing, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Quick learner capable of adapting to new tools, environments, and workflows.

Experience with optical or mechanical machining systems with micron precision.

Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year.
