Youth & Family Engagement Director

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Youth & Family Engagement Director leads all aspects of youth and family programming for the branch, ensuring the cause and culture is instilled in strategy and staff development. This position works collaboratively with membership and program teams to provide members and participants with the best experience through detailed analysis and communication. 1. Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent. 2. Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in customer service &/or youth programming. 3. Demonstrated success leading youth programming or equivalent team. 4. Demonstrated leadership, dependability & flexibility in work hours. 5. Complete within 30 days of hire: YMCA cause & culture training; program-specific training; BLS CPR; First Aid; Emergency Oxygen Administration(provided by YMCA). 6. Must meet state licensing requirements for Director position, if applicable. 7. Must meet annual training hour requirements for duration of position. 8. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community and successful clearance of background check. 9. Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training. 10. Report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and adhere to mandated abuse reporting and responsibilities. 11. Complete all required abuse prevention training prior to first shift. 12. Screen, train, and enforce abuse prevention policies for staff. 13. Promote a reporting culture, address violations, and maintain confidentiality. 14. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting and communicate zero tolerance to all staff.
