Job Description:
Client Financial is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. This role requires expertise in designing and implementing security solutions, ensuring compliance with security best practices, and providing technical leadership in network security. The Network Security Engineer will work closely with Cybersecurity architects, infrastructure teams, and security vendors to develop and maintain secure network infrastructures.
Must-Have Skills: AWS Networking Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS) Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) Nice-to-Have Skills:

Responsibilities:
Security Engineering & Solution Design: Analyze, design, and develop security solutions in collaboration with Cybersecurity architects to align with corporate technology goals and risk tolerance levels. Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert for supported security technologies, providing guidance and escalation support when needed. Architecture & Implementation: Validate current and future state architectural models and assess their impact on assigned Cybersecurity technology systems. Ensure alignment with Cybersecurity Strategy. Technical Leadership & Transition Support: Provide direction to infrastructure, operations, data, and application development teams during the transition phase, production implementation, and beyond. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with management, peers, project managers, and internal customers. Manage relationships with security partners and vendors. Security Trends & Threat Analysis: Maintain knowledge of emerging security trends, threats, attack techniques, and engineering best practices to enhance security posture. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and legal requirements. Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in network security engineering Hands-on experience with AWS networking and security Strong understanding of network intrusion detection systems (NIDS) Expertise in Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform is a plus Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work in a high-velocity, agile environment
