Meta is seeking Research Scientists to join its Generative AI (GenAI) organization, focused on advancing AI technology. The team works on the flagship Llama language models and publishes state-of-the-art research in Machine Learning.

Open sourcing high-quality code and reproducible results for the community.
Integrating the latest research into Facebook products to connect billions of users.
Publishing papers and technical reports to push the boundaries of state-of-the-art research.
The selected candidates will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and cross-functional partners, with access to cutting-edge technology and research facilities.
AI Research Scientist - Monetization AI Responsibilities:
Work towards long-term ambitious research goals, setting intermediate milestones.
Influence the research community through publications, technical reports, and open source contributions.
Contribute research applicable to Meta product development.
Lead and collaborate on research projects within a global team.
Minimum Qualifications:
First-author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
Experience in training, fine-tuning, and experimenting with foundation models beyond black-box use.
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Ability to communicate complex research to peers and public audiences.
Proficiency in a programming language.

Compensation ranges from $177,000 to $251,000 annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Actual compensation depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Benefits details are available at Meta.
