Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Executive Summary

Our client seeks a Principal Acquisition Strategy and Documentation professional at Hanscom AFB, Bedford, MA.

The candidate must possess an active Secret Security Clearance and extensive DoD experience.

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's degree with 20+ years of relevant experience (including 10+ in DoD), or

Master's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience (including 10+ in DoD), or

25+ years of related experience with proper certifications (including 10+ in DoD).

Experience in acquisition reporting (DAES, MAR, SAR, GAO audits) and knowledge of program/financial management is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Deep understanding of systems acquisition and program management principles per DoDI 5000.02.

Knowledge of roles across DoD and U.S. Air Force.

Use qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze program effectiveness.

Support program managers with cost and schedule assessments, recommend solutions.

Communicate effectively, produce high-quality documentation and reports.

Assess acquisition efforts across development, production, deployment.

Formulate strategic plans to meet cost, schedule, performance goals.

Develop acquisition reports (statutory/regulatory).

Support reviews and assessments (PMRs, senior leadership, IMP/IMS).

Present program status updates to senior leadership.

Demonstrate expertise, oversee junior/mid-level staff.

Apply standards and procedures within program offices and enterprise environments.

Establish processes for documentation review and approval.

Interpret complex tasks and organize team responses.

Consolidate data into clear reports for decision-makers.

Manage teams effectively.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.

Educational and experience requirements as above.

Preferred: Experience with Air Force HQ Staff, SAF/AQ, PEO.

Required: Direct experience in acquisition reporting (DAES, MAR, SAR, GAO).

Desirable: Multi-disciplinary acquisition experience, especially in program and financial management.
