Overview:
A public sector client of ours in Austin, Texas is looking for an experienced Angular / J2EE Front-End Developer for a 1-year contract that is likely to extend. This role will require 1-2 days on-site in their Austin office.
The selected Front-End Developer will perform application development, enhancement, maintenance, and support activities for a variety of mission-critical Social Services applications, including State Portal, Workflow Management, Eligibility Web Services, Family Violence Program, Enterprise Document Services, Enterprise Content Management, Document Center, and Call Center Inquiry systems.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining enterprise-class J2EE/Portal applications within a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) using Agile methodologies. The developer will be actively engaged in all stages of the SDLC, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. This position also includes system analysis, technical documentation, performance tuning, and production support.

Required Experience:
8 years of hands-on experience in front-end/UI development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise-class applications using Angular and/or similar frameworks on the J2EE application development platform.
8 years of experience participating in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
8 years of UI development experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms, as well as caching strategies.
8 years of programming experience in HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, Angular, Typescript, JSON, XML, ES5/ES6, NPM, Maven, and/or other UI frameworks/libraries.
8 years of experience developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-level front-end/UI applications, including full ownership of the front-end stack (JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Angular, etc.).
8 years of experience implementing client-facing applications with responsive design and development principles.
8 years of experience implementing single-page applications (SPAs) using JavaScript or libraries/frameworks like Angular.
8 years of experience developing self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
8 years of strong understanding and practical experience with core programming concepts, including data structures, algorithms, caching, scalability, and performance in web-based UI applications.
8 years of experience developing and testing application user interfaces for ADA/Accessibility Compliance.
8 years of experience implementing best practices for application design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
8 years of experience in test-driven development using frameworks such as Karma, Jasmine, or Selenium. Preferred Experience:
5 years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot Java applications.
5 years of experience working with IBM WebSphere Application Server 8 or later.
5 years of experience with Agile Development Methodologies, preferably Scrum.
5 years of experience working on web applications developed for cloud platforms.
5 years of experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) methodologies.
5 years of experience developing for mobile and tablet platforms.
