Your Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager, Water Resources with project management and municipal experience to join a purpose-driven organization that’s focused on helping our clients, colleagues and communities thrive. In this role, you will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously and will be responsible for collaborating with the local office and remote project teams, managing scope and deliverables, developing and managing project budgets, and performing internal and external project status reporting.
Your Key Responsibilities
You lead and develop a team of engaged and collaborative professionals, setting expectations for team performance You engage in the development and maintenance of relationships between the Company, strategic partners, and clients to expand business opportunities You are a strong seller-doer capable of generating work and creating long-term relationships and delivering long-term value to clients for Stantec You work closely with Sector Leaders, Project Developers, the Stantec Institute, and Water Strategic Pursuits Team to leverage Stantec’s internal resources and expertise You coordinate with national and regional sector leaders to connect subject matter experts, identify resource needs in the region, pursue opportunities, and reflect key sector pursuits in Top 20s You manage multiple water resources and multi-disciplinary engineering projects in developing plan sets, specifications, budgets, and schedules to meet or exceed our clients’ expectations. This may include working with project team members from various office locations You participate in go/no-go decisions and pursuit budget discussions for large and/or strategic pursuits in their geography You pursue and lead pursuits in your geography; engages directly in relationship development, positioning, and teaming for strategic pursuits
Your Capabilities And Credentials
Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from pursuit through closeout, involving internal personnel, subconsultants, contractors, and vendors. Demonstrated successful experience in leadership, including defining and setting the direction for a team, project, and office; strategy development; change management; and corporate stewardship. Demonstrated successful experience in decision making, including making sound defensible business decisions; and identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving complex problems. Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and risk management. Travel to other offices as well as to project sites may be required.
Education And Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil and/or environmental engineering, or equivalent required. Experience: Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in project management, preferably for water resources projects. Licenses/Certifications: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Pay Transparency:
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
Benefits Summary:
Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
