QUALIFICATIONS

: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in school food services preferred. Jefferson County Food Handlers Card or Serv Safe Certification. Must meet background clearance requirements as specified by Alabama statutes and State Board of Education regulations. FLSA: Non-Exempt

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

: Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the system's approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Demonstrate commitment to and support for the vision and mission of the system and school. Perform work in the school food service facility in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures. Plan, prepare and serve food as assigned by manger demonstrating initiative and enthusiasm for the task(s). Perform all custodial, dish room, serving area and/or storeroom duties as assigned by manager. Maintain high standards of sanitation and work safety. Operate and maintain food service equipment in a safe and skillful manner. Maintain an effective professional appearance with appropriate non-skid, slip-resistant shoes and uniform determined by the manager. Maintain an effective working relationship with manager, CNP Associates, Principal, and faculty and staff. Provide cordial and professional service to students and others. Work in any position in the department as directed by the manager. Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and other school and/or workplace matters as outlined in the Acceptable Use Policy. Participate in required Professional Development. Report, in a timely manner, any potential problems or unusual events to the CNP Manager. Respond to and adapt behavior from constructive criticism, evaluation and other inquiries from the manager with urgency. Adhere to attendance and punctuality standards as established by Board Policy. Ensure adherence to good safety standards. Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters. Model and maintain high ethical standards. Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities. Maintain expertise in assigned area to fulfill project goals and objectives. Participate successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment. Exhibit interpersonal skills to work as an effective team member. Demonstrate support for the school system and its goals and priorities. Demonstrate initiative in identifying potential problems or opportunities for improvement. Assume other reasonable and equitable job-related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor, including managerial job responsibilities, if needed. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

:

Ability to maintain expertise in assigned area to fulfil project goals and objectives. Ability to follow instructions and complete responsibilities guided by standard practices. Ability to apply knowledge from required food preparation, sanitation, and work safety training. Ability to conduct oneself in a manner modeling high ethical standards. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and public in a manner consistent with an educational environment. Ability to provide professional and cordial service to students and others. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Physical and emotional ability and dexterity to perform required work and move about as needed in a fast-paced, high-intensive work environment.

: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
