Experienced Catastrophe Claims Representative . Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking an experienced and motivated claims professional to join our team. The position involves: Frequent travel up to 21 days at a time, often on short notice, to catastrophe locations, primarily out of state. Meeting physical demands, including carrying and climbing ladders. Investigating and assembling facts, determining policy coverage, evaluating losses, analyzing legal liability, and processing claims. Studying insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to understand coverage. Working towards claim resolution, potentially attending arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials. Ensuring timely and accurate claims payments. Desired Skills & Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years claims handling or comparable experience. Field claims experience with multi-line property and casualty claims, including wind/hail. Proficient with Xactimate software. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to resolve complex issues and interpret data. Ability to handle multiple assignments. Valid drivers license required; military experience considered. Benefits:
