Job Summary
Expert in one or more highly specialized areas within the healthcare environment, contributing to clinical/business solutions that improve patient care, engagement, operational efficiency, and financial position. Develops and presents solutions, integrating organizational knowledge with thoughtful design. Job Responsibilities
Designs, builds, tests, implements, and supports IT solutions to meet operational and clinical needs. Provides consultation for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Analyzes and recommends system configurations and improvements, leading teams through decision-making processes. Creates detailed system design and build documentation. Collaborates with analysts, staff, vendors, and leadership. Translates high-level business requirements into technical designs. Leads large or complex projects or initiatives. Supports and maintains existing systems and applications, including ancillary systems. Coordinates system optimization or upgrade projects, providing production support and recommending improvements. Acts as a resource and advocate for user groups, mentoring analysts and resolving complex issues. Performs system analysis and troubleshooting, understanding end-to-end system integration. Identifies and manages new system specifications and installations. Evaluates efficiencies and effectiveness of user areas, recommending cost-effective solutions. Prepares policies, procedures, manuals, and system documentation. Maintains project documentation and prioritizes user needs with department heads. Works closely with users to document requirements and implement changes. Facilitates performance improvements and supports clinical and financial operations. Provides on-call support as needed, with some travel required.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field or 4 years of equivalent experience. Resolute Professional Billing Admin and Claims experience required. Cogito Certification and Charging experience preferred. EPIC certification in primary application required or within 4 months of employment. 3+ years systems analysis/programming experience. 5+ years relevant experience in hospital or medical industry applications. High-level technical proficiency in application support, implementation, or development. Excellent communication skills. Deep knowledge of healthcare operations.
