AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure our customers have continual access to the cloud services they rely on. We work on complex problems with many variables impacting the supply chain, and we seek talented individuals to join us. You will be part of a diverse team including software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and others. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards, deliver capacity efficiently, and foster an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and ownership. Key job responsibilities
Foster cross-functional collaboration with HR, finance, procurement, and other teams to ensure smooth operations, resource management, and promote diversity and inclusion. Develop and manage budgets, oversee costs, and optimize spending while meeting operational and regulatory standards. Monitor performance metrics related to efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction; identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices. Supervise staff involved in operations, including hiring, training, and performance management, emphasizing diversity and inclusion. Oversee physical infrastructure, coordinate with vendors, and ensure adherence to SLAs while promoting supplier diversity. Develop emergency, business continuity, and safety protocols, focusing on the well-being of all individuals. Manage after-hours operations, investigating and resolving issues in a diverse and inclusive manner. A day in the life

Your responsibilities include managing engineering teams, controlling budgets, driving projects, coordinating with vendors, communicating technical information clearly, responding to emergencies, and promoting safety and diversity across multiple sites. 5+ years leading diverse teams, implementing operational strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally. 5+ years managing projects, planning, and resource allocation. 5+ years in data analysis and using operations management tools. Experience supervising operations staff including hiring, training, and performance management. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Operations Management or related field. 7+ years in data centers focusing on building and equipment operation. Experience with process improvement initiatives.
