Responsibilities The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Collaborates with project managers to develop feature layers for ArcGIS Online (AGOL) for use in field data collection. Collects, imports, queries, reviews, and exports GIS information. Operates GPS equipment and collects field data using GPS and AGOL. Prepares GIS maps and exhibits for reports, public meetings, and presentations. Maintains GIS and GPS software & equipment. In collaboration with IT personnel, may administer McGill GIS accounts. Serves on Committees and Teams as requested by management. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred; however associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in a field related to GIS or two years of relevant experience will be considered. Training and/or experience should include the use of and familiarity with ESRI GIS and other programs with a working knowledge of drafting standards, mathematics, science and survey/mapping technology preferred. Working knowledge of ESRI GIS software (ArcGIS Pro, AGOL) and GPS equipment. Working knowledge of AutoCAD/ArcGIS is a plus Experience working in geomatics or engineering field is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat required Ability to understand municipal and civil plans such as grading, water, sewer and stormwater. Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports. Ability to perform field work within the footprint of the McGill projects. Valid drivers license.
