Dealership Accounting Clerk

Al Packer Ford is looking for adetail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerkto join our team! This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various dealership accounting functions. Key Responsibilities - Retail & Wholesale Processing: Accurately process vehicle deals and ensure all related documentation is complete. Lien Payoffs: Verify and issue payoff checks, ensuring timely submission to financial institutions. Daily Bank Deposits: Reconcile accounting reports from POS systems and cash drawers with receipts, including currency, checks, and credit cards. Error Resolution: Investigate discrepancies, trace errors, and make necessary accounting adjustments. Check Issuance: Issue checks in alignment with company policies and guidelines. General Support: Resolve accounting issues as they arise and perform additional duties as assigned to meet departmental needs. Financial Recording: Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes. Team Interaction: Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Qualifications & Skills - Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience: 2 years minimum of dealership accounting experience is a must. Skills - Strong understanding of debits and credits as well as balance sheet reconciliation. Proficiency in CDK (dealership management system) required. Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data effectively. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Effective communication skills to interact with internal teams and external customers, vendors, etc. Compensation & Benefits - This is a full time, on-site position and pay is commensurate upon experience.
