Job DetailsJob LocationNJ - Fairfield, NJDescriptionPrimary Purpose:The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across our commercial strategies and contribute to shaping the future of our business. This role leverages critical thinking and strong modeling, data analytics, and business acumen. This position requires experience in Investment Banking or Management Consulting, with a strong understanding of consumer consumption and behavior data. Responsibilities:Data Analysis & Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models, performance metrics, and dashboards to provide actionable insights on business performance.Consumer Insights: Analyze consumer consumption and behavior data to uncover trends, preferences, and opportunities for product innovation and marketing strategies.Strategic Support: Work closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Commercial Officer, to inform strategic decision-making and identify business growth opportunities.Market Research: Conduct industry and competitor analysis to provide context and recommendations on market positioning and competitive strategy.Reporting & Presentations: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for key stakeholders, summarizing findings, strategic recommendations, and business forecasts.Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure data-driven decisions align with broader company objectives.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve analytical processes, tools, and frameworks to drive efficiency and insights.QualificationsEducation, Qualities and Skills Required:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.2-7 years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or a similar analytical role.Proven track record in business analytics, financial modeling, and data analysis.Experience with consumer consumption and behavioral data, especially within food or consumer goods industries, is highly desirable.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Familiarity with statistical analysis software and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear and actionable insights.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Supervisory Responsibility:No direct supervision required.Work Environment:Typical office working environment which includes a workstation equipped with a computer and other office supplies necessary for daily tasks. Typically climate-controlled to provide a comfortable working temperature year-round. Lighting is usually a mix of natural and artificial sources to ensure sufficient lamination.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time salaried position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Expectations of 45 hours per week, to be worked during normal business hours. Physical Requirements:The physical requirements for an office environment typically include:1. Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.2. Typing: Frequent use of hands to type on a keyboard and operate a computer mouse.3. Visual Requirements: Extended periods of viewing a computer screen and reading printed or digital documents.4. Mobility: Occasional walking or standing, including moving between different areas of the office.5. Manual Dexterity: The ability to handle office equipment, such as phones, printers, and copiers, and to file documents.6. Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with colleagues, clients, and vendors.7. Lifting: Occasionally lifting and carrying light objects, typically up to 20 pounds, such as files, documents, or office supplies.8. Reaching and Bending: Reaching above shoulder height and bending to access files and office supplies.9.
